The Soft Landing System

There when you need it !

Uses of the Soft Landing System

The "Soft Landing System" is designed to meet the requirements of the safety regulations by preventing falls of over 2 metres in standard storey height dwellings.

Normal storey heights are approximately 2.3 to 2.5 metres and the "Bean Bags" are 0.55 metres high, thus reducing any fall to less than 2 metres. In addition to reducing the fall to within the 2 metre tolerance, the "Soft Landing System" also offers a more yielding surface on which to fall. This should reduce injuries.

Ground Floor
The system can equally be used to protect workers fixing first floor joists. The same bags can then simply be moved up to the next level as required.

First or subsequent floors
On first or subsequent floors, the system may be used to protect workers whilst trusses are being installed, without the need to board over open joists of up to 600mm centres spacing.

Roof Space
The system can also be used to protect workers in certain instances when fixing bracing etc., in steep pitch roof truss installations. In these circumstances the "Bean Bags" can be placed on the bottom chord of truss rafters.
